Roy and Matilda Harris met in 1990 in a mental health hospital ward in Cape Town, South Africa. Matilda, a Registered Nurse, was on night duty. Roy, a young Pastor, was visiting a church member. Their shared passion for people led them to start and grow numerous projects in South Africa.

Roy’s early impact in the community as social and business entrepreneur soon enjoyed media coverage both in newspapers, radio talk shows and television. His nonprofits in South Africa and Florida USA focus mainly on mental health, education, real estate, infrastructure- and capital procurement and development.

2021 marks Roy and Matilda’s 30th year of founding & successfully operating various nonprofits in South Africa and recently the USA, focusing mainly on mental health, education, real estate, infrastructure and capital procurement and development.
